Work in progress
I managed to put the room back together in it's introductory form. I call it me England corner. I have my English Tapestry and the paintings I have bought from there on the walls. Now I am in this spring fever phase of wanting to organize my life. Last night we-my two oldest daughters and I-went through every junk drawer in the house and threw out any pen or pencil that wasn't worth keeping. It was a terrific birthday gift to not have that looming over me. We also made popcorn "just like the Wights" for they the kids bought with their own money a whirly popper for me. It was quite the family event making the popcorn. It took 2 hours to finish the boxes of junk. Now I am going to buy one of those little drawer organizers for each desk. If I get one thing organized a day I have to make a difference eventually right!

You know...if you girls run out of drawers to organize at your house, I have an unlimited supply over here :) I love your English corner by the way. Most of my corners are decorated in Late Twentieth Century Clutter.
Yeah for you! I love to organize stuff. I guess its so satisfying because it last longer than five minutes. Unlike say, sweeping the floor or doing dishes.
I didn't know it was your birthday!!!
Glad to know you can enjoy kettle corn. I don't know what those poor people without a whirl-i-pop do when they want to watch a movie. LOVE IT. Happy birthday. I love organizing anything. I think I actually can get a little high on it. Weird.
Happy, happy birthday! Popcorn and de-junking. What a great combo! I have a craft closet that is just SCREAMING to be de-junked, but the longer I wait, the more frightened I am to actually stick my hand in the door. I'm afraid something will bite it.
Pretty picture of the England corner.
I am hopeless with dejunking. I am very good at shoving things in drawers and putting it out of my mind, though. So it's all good.
Sarah,
I found your blog through Elizabeth Dimit's blog. Do you remember me Angela Walker from 2000? We were in your ward and had two small daughters. Now we live in Seattle (with detours to Texas, Penslyvania, and Arizona before moving here). WE have four girls now Holly (10), Emily (8), Megan(4), and Melissa (2). I loved seeing photos of your cute house and family. It sounds like life is good. angelamakescookies@hotmail.com
